Welcome to a new development of Health Around Your Corner Publications! Although the natural-health magazine is no longer in publication (please see About page), Health Around Your Corner has exciting new things in store for you. In the very near future, you will find books, booklets, pamphlets, and more available for purchase – both in printed form and electronic media. We are concentrating our efforts on the natural-health topics we have found to be the most vital (and urgent) for most people, that have most affected our own lives, and that we are best equipped to research in depth.

Our new blog format makes it easier and quicker for us to update information and for you to join the discussions. You will notice this is now a “hub” site for a family of blogs and publications exploring a broader field of “alternative” topics in healthy eating, healthy aging, caregiving, history, cosmology, homeschooling, and home business. Several topics are directly related to one another, while others are related because of their “alternative” approach.

It will take a little time to get back into print, and to execute all of the ideas kicking around in our heads. The ideas are straining at the bit, but all of our other school and business obligations, especially the caregiving business, have taken a toll on our time. However, they have provided us with a wealth of information we know is valuable to almost everyone.

We know you also are busy, so we will offer book reviews to help you make the most of your reading time. We also want to share many varied resources that have enriched our lives. Please join us on our continuing journey of healthy exploration.

This is a “sticky post” which will remain in this opening position to welcome both familiar and new readers.

The Perfect Food Storm

Alert! The Perfect Food Storm is IN PROGRESS!

In our research with gluten, modern diseases, farming, and nutrition in general, we discovered what we call “The Perfect Food Storm.” We have begun a book by that name which is a major project and will be in progress for a while.

It targets the historical confluence of the “modernization” of gluten, the development of peanut products, the pasteurization of dairy, the health myth of soy, and the ubiquitous use of these and other inflammatory products in today’s mass-production food supply.

The purpose of this book is to provide a more in-depth explanation of why such basic and popular foods can possibly be wreaking such havoc with our health. In the meantime, while we are completing our research and writing, we’ll preview some of the information in our blogs.
